Holmbury Hill is home to some of the oldest and most famous mountain bike trails such as the infamous Barry Knows Best, Yoghurt Pots and Telegraph Row - trails that are perfect for riders of all abilities.

Holmbury Hill can be accessed from a number of places including from Peaslake, from the village of Holmbury St Mary and from the Holmbury St Mary Youth Hostel with numerous car parks in the area.

At the top of Holmbury Hill is a viewpoint with amazing views across the south of England. It is part of the Greensand Ridge and drains amazingly well after rain, so is rideable all year round.

Holmbury Hill is part of The Hurtwood and you therefore have the “right to roam” which means you can ride on all trails, including footpaths, unless there are signs specifically denying bikes.

Please follow the Hurtwood Bikers’ Code when riding on Holmbury Hill.
